My Favorite Past Person
Dhyanyogi Shri Madhusudandasji, or simply "Dhyanyogi" as many people refered to him, was - is - my spiritual teacher. He died in 1994 at the august age of 117. I only met him a few times while he was alive, in a tiny room of a family apartment in Ahmedabad, India.

Dhyanyogi was dressed like this by his Indian disciples on special occassions.

A personal picture, where I'm receiving blessings from the old man in his bedroom, around Christmas, 1993.

A  close up of Dhyanyogi's face, as he looked the last year of his life. The mark on his forehead is a called a tilaka - actually sandalwood paste with grains of rice, used in a religious rite.

To say that I love this man who was the friend, spiritual teacher, and even life-saver for so many would not begin to express my feelings for him. God bless you forever, Guruji, wherever you are.
